Welcome! Carolina Pool Consultants LLC (“CPC Pools,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers an SMS text messaging program to keep you informed about our pool building services. By opting in to receive our text messages, you agree to these SMS Terms of Service. We’ve written these terms in a friendly, clear way to help you understand how our SMS program works and what you can expect. (Don’t worry – signing up for texts is optional and not required to purchase any of our services)
Program Description
Our SMS program allows clients to receive text messages from Carolina Pool Consultants LLC for various purposes. These may include:
- Promotional Offers & Updates: Get special deals, discounts, and announcements about our pool services (for example, seasonal promotions or new service offerings).
- Appointment Reminders: Receive friendly reminders for your scheduled consultations, installation dates, or maintenance appointments so you never miss a meeting.
- Service Updates: Stay up-to-date on your pool project’s progress or service requests (e.g. notifications about construction milestones, service team ETAs, or weather delays).
We partner with Twilio (a trusted third-party messaging provider) to send out these SMS messages on our behalf. This means when we text you, we’re using Twilio’s platform to deliver the message efficiently and securely. (Your information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy – more on that below.)
Message Frequency
We respect your time and attention, so we promise not to overload your phone with texts. Here’s what to expect in terms of frequency:
- Marketing Messages: No more than 4 promotional messages per month. We’ll occasionally send deals or useful tips, but we’re capping marketing texts at 4 in a month to avoid spamming you.
- Service/Reminder Messages: These will be sent as needed, based on your interactions with us. For instance, if you schedule an appointment or are in the middle of a pool construction project, you’ll receive relevant reminders or updates. The number of these non-marketing texts will vary depending on your activity (they’re directly related to scheduled appointments or ongoing services).
Please note that because service-related messages are tied to your needs (e.g. confirmation for a consultation or a delay update), there isn’t a fixed monthly number for them – but we’ll only send them when necessary. Overall, we aim to keep our messages useful and timely, and you can expect that we won’t exceed the above limits for marketing texts.
Opting In (Consent to Receive Texts)
You can join our SMS program by providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting in (for example, by checking the SMS consent box on our web form). By doing so, you consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from CPC Pools under these terms. We’ll send you a confirmation or welcome message to let you know you’re subscribed. Remember, consent to receive our marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase – you can get our pool services even if you choose not to receive texts.
How to Opt-Out (Stop Texts)
Your participation is voluntary. If at any point you no longer want to receive text messages from us, you can opt out easily. Just text STOP to our number (the same number that’s texting you). Once you send “STOP,” we’ll send a one-time reply to confirm you’ve unsubscribed, and after that you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. This opt-out process works any time – feel free to text “STOP” whether you’re receiving promotional messages, appointment reminders, or any texts from our program.
If you ever change your mind, you’re welcome to re-subscribe in the future. To re-join our SMS list, simply sign up again through our website or text us a relevant keyword (for example, START) to opt back in, and we’ll start sending messages to you again.

- Text HELP – If you send the word “HELP” to our number, we’ll reply with information to assist you or point you to customer support. This is handy if you forget these instructions and want a quick reminder via text.

Message and Data Rates
Standard Messaging Charges: While CPC Pools does not charge you for joining our SMS program or receiving texts, message and data rates may apply according to your mobile phone plan. In other words, your mobile carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or others) might charge you for SMS or MMS messages at your usual rates. If you’re not sure what your text or data plan includes, it’s best to check with your wireless provider so there are no surprises on your bill. We are not responsible for any charges your carrier may apply for SMS/MMS messages; those charges are solely your responsibility.
Carrier Participation: Our text messages should work with all major U.S. carriers and most regional carriers. However, availability may vary, especially since our service is focused in North Carolina. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, as delivery can depend on network conditions. We strive to send timely texts, but factors like your cell signal or carrier outages might cause delays that are outside of our control. We (and our messaging provider Twilio) are also not liable for any delays or failures in message delivery once we’ve sent the message on our end.
Privacy and Data Usage
Your privacy is extremely important to us. When you opt in to our SMS program, you can rest assured that we will not sell or share your phone number or personal information to third parties for marketing or other unrelated purposes. We collect and use your mobile number only to send you the messages you signed up for and to administer our services to you.
We do use third-party service providers (like Twilio) to facilitate our text messaging – they help us send out the messages. These providers are only allowed to use your information to provide services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. By opting in, you also agree to our data practices as described in that policy.

Eligibility and Service Area
Our SMS program is intended for residents of United States only. We currently provide pool construction and related services within North Carolina, and thus our promotional and service update texts are targeted to NC residents. By signing up for our texts, you confirm that you are a resident of Untied States and that you are 18 years of age or older (or have permission from a parent or guardian if under 18).
We reserve the right to restrict or remove subscribers from the program if we discover they are outside our service area. If you are not a United States or North Carolina resident, please do not opt into the SMS program, as certain offers or services we text about may not apply to out-of-state recipients.
Changes & Consent
By opting into our SMS program, you agree to these Terms of Service for text messaging. Carolina Pool Consultants LLC may update or change these terms occasionally to comply with laws or improve our service. If we make significant changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date on the Terms of Service page and/or notify you via text. Your continued participation in the SMS program after changes signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
